Developer Proposals Wanted for Sandy Springs Tax Allocation District Projects What: The Sandy Springs TAD will be used to subsidize new development with facilities and infrastructure needed to make new developments successful. Approved by the Fulton County Commission Nov. 19, 2003, and the Fulton County Board of Education Dec. 11, 2003. Fulton County will administer TAD projects. Projects: Mixed use and pedestrian friendly redevelopments combining retail, office and residential with street-side shopping and parking decks to minimize asphalt surface space. Demographics: Sandy Springs currently services one of the most affluent and desirable trade areas in the country.
