SSRI plans and implements Streetscape projects in the Sandy Springs Business District. The streetscape provides pedestrian safety, encourages public transit use and improves vehicular safety while enhancing the appeal of the commercial area.

The streetscape standard calls for 9-foot wide sidewalks, with an additional 2-foot strip of brick pavers, street trees, landscaping, pedestrian lights and street furniture.

Plans include the relocation of utility lines and new driveway entrances to businesses for better traffic flow.

The Sandy Springs Streetscape standards were developed by SSRI and the community and approved by Fulton County in the Sandy Springs Zoning Overlay District.
